What qualifies as a dental emergency?
Dental emergencies can range from the most basic problems such as a lost dental filling or a chipped tooth. Missing fillings can often cause sensitivity to eating and drinking. Our office uses the latest technology, including digital x-rays, to diagnose the problem immediately and provide our patients with efficient service. Dental x-rays can reveal if there’s extensive decay in a tooth, which maybe the cause for the filling to fall out in the first place.
Dental trauma is also a frequent cause for broken or chipped teeth. Patients may fall on a slipper surface or get accidentally get hit with a hard object that can fracture teeth. The tooth may require bonding, a porcelain veneer, or a dental crown to be restored to it’s original shape. Sometimes when the tooth fractures all the way to the nerve, a root canal might be necessary as well. Whatever the case, our dentist are ready to help.
Emergency Dentist – Root canal treatment
Problems such as tooth aches, severe pain, and a badly damaged tooth may require more extensive treatments such as a Root canal or a Tooth extraction. While the term “root canal” has earned a bad reputation. When done correctly the root canal procedure provides relief for our patients. Most patients experience no discomfort during the procedure. Root canals in general are completed in about 90 minutes. Most patients feel so much relieve that they don’t even require any pain medication once the procedure is complete.

Dr. Chang and her staff are wonderful – they fit me in for an emergency appointment at 7 pm the same day I booked it, and were very helpful each step of the way. She takes time to explain the procedures/techniques she is using, and gave me advice based on best practices and affordability (including what my insurance would cover, etc.) Bonus is that she takes appointments after work hours! – Batool B. on Zocdoc

I required an emergency root canal during the weekend and thank goodness Dr. Tong has office hours on Sundays. It was my first time getting a root canal procedure done and Dr. Tong was extremely thorough and patient. She walked me through every step she took and answered all of my questions. After the procedure, Dr. Tong even checked in on me with a call, which was greatly appreciated. The entire process went smoothly and I even had my usual family dentist confirm that she did an amazing job on my tooth. — Blair J. on Zocdoc

My dentist of 20 years retired. I went to Dr.Mann based on the reviews. Office staff is super nice, the place is very well run. I was a first time patient who scheduled an emergency appointment with Dr. Eva Chen. I immediately got an appointment the same day for 6:30pm. I arrived early to fill out initial paperwork and waited about 15 minutes until I was called into the room.
The visit resulted in an infected tooth and my first root canal. However, Dr. Chen and the dental assistant made my experience extremely pleasant. She constantly asked how I was and if the pain was too overwhelming. Dr. Chen thoroughly explained my current situation and answered any questions I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better dental team for this procedure!
I highly recommend Dr. Eva Chen and her team. The office caters to those who work a normal 9-5 and cannot afford to take off easily.
